F.A.Q.

  • How does a pawn work?
A pawn is a collateral loan. You bring an item for collateral and Eastside Pawns offers a loan amount. If both parties agree to a loan amount, the pawn shop will hold your item for 90 days. You can repay the loan amount (along with interest and fees) to redeem the item at any time within that 90 days. If you cannot redeem the item, you can pay to renew the loan and extend your pawn another 90 days. You can renew as many times needed.
  • What should I do if I've had an item stolen?
Make a police report right away and get a case number. Eastside Pawns logs all incoming items pawned or purchased and sends that information to the police department at the end of every day. Once a police report is made you can notify the local pawn shops. Additional places to look include thrift stores, second-hand stores, gold/silver buyers, Facebook marketplace, craigslist.com, ebay.com, and apps such as LetGo, OfferUp, etc.
